Company Profile
Printz Veterinary Services
Company Overview
We are a busy and youthful veterinary practice in the bustling town of Englewood, Ohio, offering both small animal in-clinic and large animal ambulatory services and are working to expand this availability and our client-base. We love what we do and we hope that it shows! Our focus is on implementing high quality preventative care and practicing exceptional general medicine and surgery for our patients. At the end of the day, if we can offer a family atmosphere, high quality medicine, and reasonable pricing for our clients, we believe we have done a good job. We also feel that our doctors and support staff are invaluable to making this all happen. They are an exceptional group and have fully embraced a culture of mutual respect and teamwork.
Company History
Originally just known as Englewood Animal Hospital, Dr. Larry McKenzie transformed an old car wash into the building that it is today back in the 1970’s. If you look closely, you can still recognize the four car bays to this day! He dedicated his career to establishing the practice, and in 2012, when a few young vets approached him about selling, his response was, “Yeah, I guess I am getting old.” Soon thereafter, Drs. Trent and Kelsy Printz took over. They graduated in 2011 from The Ohio State University and were motivated to become business owners in just their second year out.
Since that day, the practice has grown substantially in many ways. Most recently, it was blessed with Dr. Leia Aldrich, who was a receptionist when Drs. Printz initially purchased the practice! After getting into vet school a few years afterward, she eventually came back once her training was completed and we have been beyond thrilled to have her!
Other changes include our support team, which has come a long way since 2011 when there were only the 3 employees! Additionally, the breadth of the clinic’s diagnostic and treatment capabilities has also grown, so that we can provide the best care for our patients, including in-house laboratory equipment, direct and dental radiology, ultrasonography, and laser therapy to name a few!
Adding to our current hospital is the building just across the road, which serves as an additional surgery/procedure center and a quiet place for euthanasia appointments.
And when we’re not at the clinic, Drs. Trent and Leia do provide farm animal care and occasional house calls for small animals in the area.
