Company Overview
We are a busy and fast-paced small animal practice, located in a suburb of Dayton. We also offer large animal ambulatory services and are working to expand this availability and our client-base. Our focus is on implementing high quality preventative care and practicing exceptional general medicine and surgery for our patients. With 3 full-time doctors and a large amount of support staff members, we are focused on developing a family-like atmosphere for both clients and staff. Our facility is small, but is recently renovated and highly functional, and our team is cohesive and passionate about their work.
Company History
The hospital was originally established in the early 1970's by Larry McKenzie, DVM. He transformed an old car wash into the building that it is today, and if you look closely, you can still recognize the four car bays!! In 2012, the beloved Dr. McKenzie decided to retire and transfer the practice over to Printz Veterinary Services, LLC, and the younger spirits of Drs. Trent and Kelsy Printz, who both graduated from The Ohio State University with their Doctorates in Veterinary Medicine in 2011.
Since that day, the practice has grown substantially in many ways. We have had the pleasure of adding Dr. Leia Aldrich, who started out as a receptionist for the hospital prior to being accepted into The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine. We also have a total of 13 exceptional support staff members and the breadth of our diagnostic and treatment capabilities has grown so that we can provide the best care for all of our patients.
But it doesn't stop there! In addition to the small animal medicine offered at Englewood Animal Hospital, Dr. Trent, now joined by Dr. Leia, also offer care for farm and equine animals in the local area. Not only is this a passion of theirs, but a dying sector in our field that we felt important to fill.
