Company Overview
Animal Wellness Center is a multi-practice group of veterinary clinics with locations throughout southeast Wisconsin. Our style of practice focuses on providing the highest standard of care through emphasizing CE opportunities, appropriate use of new technological advancements, and a collaborative approach to case management through effective communication with all of our doctors, technicians, and staff! It is our belief that veterinary medicine is a "team sport." To that end, we are constantly networking with consultants, specialists, educational programs, and other veterinarians in order to continually offer the newest and highest standard of care to our patients and clients.
It is also our belief that you only have one chance to make a first impression. As such, we hold our clinics to the same standard of any medical, dental, or chiropractic office. For that reason, all of our clinics are newly, or soon to be renovated, ensuring that they are clean and up to date. All of our locations boast a full in-house lab, digital dental and full body x-ray, ultrasonography, etc. Daily routines at one of our clinics may range from routine surgeries, dental procedures and appointments, to participation in more unique opportunities such as spinal manipulation therapy, acupuncture, and tibial tuberosity advancement surgery or Femoral Head and Neck Ostectomy.
We believe that we improve everyone by improving ourselves, and vise versa! As such, our mission is to create an environment that elevates our colleagues to their fullest potential and to expand on educational (and career) opportunities that present a unique path for each doctor, technician, CSR, and student that works at or rotates through one of our facilities. We do not operate with a traditional parental hierarchy of an employer/employee relationship, but instead subscribe to a round table collaboration at every level.
Company History
Animal Wellness originated as Animal Hospital of South Milwaukee in 2010 when our CEO, Isaiah Gray, an aspiring veterinarian and current veterinary assistant was faced with the decision of either pursuing his dream of veterinary school, or purchasing a veterinary practice of his own and operating as a non-veterinarian owner. Despite his desire to be a veterinarian, Isaiah decided that his particular skills and business acumen would allow him to better serve animals through practice ownership rather than treating them directly as a veterinarian. As such, in 2010, Isaiah purchased Animal Hospital of South Milwaukee.
After a few years of growth, in 2013 Isaiah hired Dr. Hillery Boyden. Several, short months into the working relationship, Isaiah and Dr. Boyden elected to partner together and purcahsed Animal Wellness Center - Fond du Lac, and thus Animal Wellness Centers were born. Since then, through multiple acquisitions, mergers, and organic growth, Animal Wellness Centers have continued to grow. In 2016, Dr. Dan Borsdorf joined the staff at Animal Wellness Center, and has since joined as the 3rd partner in the practice group as of September, 2018.
