Fetch Specialty and Emergency Veterinary Centers is seeking an experienced veterinary technician to join our emergency team in Ft. Myers, FL

The technician will work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to pets in critically emergent situations. We are one of the only facilities in the area that has mechanical ventilator, dialysis, and therapeutic plasma exchange capabilities. An emergency veterinary technician plays a critical role in emergency veterinary care, focusing on the initial assessment and prioritization of patients based on the severity of their condition.

Shift Differentials:

Sunday - Thursday Night differential $4.00 (7:30p - 7:30a)

Friday/Saturday Night differential $6.00 (7:30p - 7:30a)

Saturday/Sunday Daytime differential $2.00 (7:30a - 7:30p)

Ideal Candidate

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician, required
• Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT), preferred
• Previous experience in specialty and/or emergency veterinary medicine, preferred
• Strong knowledge of veterinary medical protocols and procedures
• Excellent technical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments
• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Flexibility with working schedule, including availability for on-call, weekend shifts and holidays.
