Description

About Us

For over 50 years, Amesbury Animal Hospital, PC has been servicing small and large animal patients and the owners who love them in the Massachusetts/New Hampshire seacoast region.

We are a privately owned and independent practice that allows an individual to thrive as a veterinarian while providing personalized care for our patients and building longstanding relationships with their owners. We work hard to provide a culture that presents Compassion, Excellence, Integrity, Education, and Respect to our staff, clients, and patients.

We are hiring for Small Animal associates (part time or full time) and a full time Mixed Animal associate. We are flexible and accommodating to various schedule requirements with the work life balance we all expect and deserve.

We welcome and provide structured mentorship to graduating veterinarians who are starting their careers. We see various and diverse cases that expose new graduates to learning opportunities yet keep an experienced veterinarian challenged. We have an attractive 6,000 square foot facility that gives our staff the comfort and space to coexist well with each other, and it is designed to enhance the patient and client experience.

Your Role at AAH

You will be working with a compassionate, skilled, and motivated team (some of our dedicated employees have been with us for over 30 years) while seeing wellness, medical and surgical patients.

You will provide mindful care. Any patient requiring a treatment plan is offered options for their management. You will consult directly with the owners on what is best for them and their pets. We stress Compassion and Education as part of our culture.

Surgical skills are not required, but anyone with an interest in surgery will certainly thrive at AAH.

What we expect from You

We want you to succeed in your role and express your talents. We expect you to:

  • Build lasting bonds with clients and their pets.

Build a rapport, respect, and trust our team members. We are all here to provide support for each other.

  • Bring us your ideas so we can explore new advances to patient care.

Work independently but know that you can always count on your support staff and our other veterinarians for assistance.

  • Be joyful with our accomplishments and be graceful on the difficult days.

Our Location and Community

We are truly pleased to be part of a community that shares its gifts in many ways. We support many local organizations and are actively involved in our region. Our team provides financial support and children’s presents to the Amesbury Holiday Program and food assistance to Our Neighbor’s Table and The Greater Newburyport Elder Pet Fund. We contribute to The New England Equine Rescue through donations collected at our hospital open houses. We have a high school scholarship fund dedicated to students that wish to pursue a career in the animal sciences, and we support local sports teams.
