Are you an experienced Veterinary Assistant looking for a stable, full-time role where your skills are respected, utilized, and supported? All Animal Hospital in Tupelo, MS is seeking a dedicated, hands-on Veterinary Assistant to join our established and growing team.
This is a career-focused opportunity, not seasonal or part-time. We're looking for someone with prior clinical experience who is confident in patient care, enjoys a collaborative environment, and wants to continue growing within the veterinary field.

Schedule:
- Monday-Friday: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed
What You'll Do
- Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
- Assist with patient intake, triage, and clinical assessments
- Monitor hospitalized and post-operative patients for comfort and changes in condition
- Assist with surgical preparation and procedures, including:
- Patient induction
- Endotracheal tube placement
- Anesthesia monitoring and recovery
- Support dental procedures, routine surgeries, and urgent care needs
- Maintain sterile surgical and treatment environments
- Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Collect and process samples (blood, urine, fecal, skin scrapings)
- Run in-house diagnostics (CBCs, chemistry panels, urinalysis, fecals)
- Prepare samples for external laboratory submission
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and medications
- Assist with client communication regarding patient status
- Support front desk operations as needed (phones, scheduling, follow-ups)
- Maintain accurate medical records in the practice management system
- Clean and sanitize exam rooms, kennels, and surgical areas
- Assist with inventory organization and restocking supplies
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who thrives in a clinical setting, loves working with animals, and is driven to continue growing in the veterinary field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in animal handling, venipuncture, catheter placement, and anesthesia monitoring
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfort working independently and as part of a cohesive team
- Confidence in managing a variety of clinical tasks under pressure
- Ability to work Saturdays and occasional extended hours as needed
