Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and experienced Emergency Lead Veterinarian to guide our emergency team and deliver exceptional patient care. This leader will set the tone for medical excellence, foster a positive and collaborative team culture, and help shape the future of emergency medicine within our hospital and the broader Thrive network.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical and surgical care to emergency and critical patients.
• Lead, mentor, and develop emergency clinicians and support staff to ensure exceptional service and teamwork.
• Partner with the hospital management team to support operational excellence and drive hospital goals.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and compassionate care.
• Collaborate with referring veterinarians and specialists to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and the highest standards of veterinary ethics.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current veterinary license in Texas.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency veterinary medicine; leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong clinical skills in emergency and critical care, with a commitment to evidence-based medicine.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
